Air: Shah Jalal International Airport is the largest and main airport in Bangladesh located in Uttara. Over 4 million international and 1 million domestic passengers as well as 150,000 tons of freight and mail exchange use Shah Jalal International Airport (DAC) per year. Bangladesh can be reached by air from any part of the world. From here, Biman Bangladesh goes to 31 cities on 4 continents. Some cities are Abu Dhabi, Amsterdam, Athens, Bangkok, Bombay, Calcutta, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Karachi, Kathmandu, Kualalumpur, London, Muscat, Dhahran, Baghdad, Kuwait, Yangoon, Rome, Tripoli, Tokyo, Singapore, Baharin, Frankfurt, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Sarjah, Seoul, Riyadh and Delhi. 

Along with Biman, several international carriers also fly to and from Dhaka. 

Biman, Bangladesh Airlines also has domestic flights from Dhaka to Chittagong, Jessore, Cox's Bazar, Rajshahi Saidpur ,Sylhet, and Barisal.

Rail: BANGLADESH RAILWAY(BR) is Government-owned and Government managed transportation agency of the country. It covers a length of 2,855 route kilometers. BR provides an professional service to places of interest such as Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Mymensingh, Bogra, Rajshahi, Dinajpur starting from Dhaka. The inter-city Express Service is available to and from important cities at cheap fares.

Bangladesh Railway is not connected with all the Civil Districts of the country. At the end of 2007-2008 only 44 Civil District of the country could be connected by Railway.  

River: Country-Made boats are the main river vessels which are seen in the river and rivulets. These boats carry passengers and merchandise on a large scale. Bangladesh is criss-crossed by about 250 rivers which flow essentially north-sourth. There are some luxurious and comfortable water vessels or motor vehicle services to Barisal, Potuakhali, Borguna, Bhola and to some other southern districts.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) holds the authority for development, maintenance and control of inland water transport. 

A journey by Rocket Steamer service from Dhaka (Sadarghat) to Khulna, the gateway to Sundarbans is a pleasing experience. 

Bus/Coach Services: BRTA is a regulatory body to control, manage and ensure discipline in the road transport sector and road safety related areas in Bangladesh.  Road transport in Bangladesh is mainly a private sector affair. Express and non-stop services are available to principal towns from Gabtali, Saidabad and Mohakhali bus terminals in Dhaka.
